Sometimes the DECT radios get disrupted when there have been changes to the local network. This is usually when there has been planned maintenance or unexpected disruption. In many cases they recover without you knowing there has been an issue but in some circumstances they may need a reset.

Here is an easy way for anyone to reboot radios which takes less than a minute from anywhere with a browser. Rebooting radios is a common fix for if you encounter a problem where the DECT phones can’t make a call:

You have to be working on a machine inside the Bonhams network for this to work. Browse to 10.43.12.18/cds and on the left side, navigate to ‘Access Point’s.

This shows all the DECT radios around the world and you can sort the columns by IP address or Comment to bunch together radios in the same office:

Using the IP address column or the comments column, look for the radio you need to reboot based on it’s location.

Click once in the row of the radio you want to reboot, in the RPN or Working column to make it turn blue, and then on the left ‘Reboot’

It takes about 90 seconds to reboot and will show Working: No during that time.

If you really need to go Nuclear, the Reboot All option will reboot all radios around the world. Don’t do this if there is a sale on elsewhere as it will cut them all off as well.

Once you’ve done it once all you really need to remember is that web address, because it’s so simple.
